Course description - 10 Hour General Industry:

Students will be introduced to OSHA policies, procedures and standards as well as general industry safety and health principles covered in OSHA Act Part 1910. Special emphasis will be placed on areas most hazardous using OSHA standards as a guide.

US OSHA requires four specific topics be included in every 10-Hr. program, with an additional six hours of elective topics.

  • Means of Egress, Emergency Action Plans and Fire Protection Plans

  • Hazardous Substances and Industrial Hygiene


Successful completion of this course will result in the participant receiving their U.S. OSHA 10-Hour General Industry wallet card, which has no expiration date.

Course Description - 30 Hour General Industry:

This module covers a minimum of thirty (30) hours of courses, required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), which apply toward 30-hour General Industry course completion card.

This module is comprised of 23 sections, each from one or two hours in length, and covering topics pertaining to regulations covered by Standard 29 CFR 1926.

The successful completion of this course will help you to identify common hazards and the proper methods to reduce the risk to yourself.

30hour-general-guideYou will be sent a copy of OSHA Standards for General Industry. The book will serve as an invaluable resource for referencing OSHA standards that have been covered in this course, as well as researching regulations or standards that could help in establishing a safer workplace. There is only a $5 shipping charge for the manual.

You will also find supplementary materials available for download by clicking the "Materials" tab on the menu located within the courseplayer. You can find printable course summaries of each module in addition to a syllabus of the entire 30 hour course

Course Pre-Requisites: None

OSHA 10 and 30 Hr. General Industry Course Testing:

All modules have a ten (10) question quiz that requires a score of 70 to proceed forward in the course. The final exam also requires a minimum score of 70 to receive a certificate of completion. The final exam may be taken three times if necessary.

OSHA 10 and 30 Hr. General Industry Time to Completion:

Once you enroll in the OSHA 10 Hour and 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training course you will have 6 months to successfully complete the course. If you do not complete the course in 6 months you will not receive a certificate for course completion.

OSHA 10 Hr. and 30 Hr. Cards:

A temporary printable certificate will be made available immediately upon successful completion of course. Passing participants will also receive an OSHA 10-Hour and a 30-Hour General Industry Outreach DOL course completion card within 4-6 weeks.
